Step 1 Warm up

1. Greet the class.

2. Sing the number song 1-20.

Step2 Review

A. Focus on Numbers:

1. Have the Ss count the numbers 1-20 , then count 20-1 together.

2. Show some of the numbers which are difficult for the Ss to read .Ask the Ss to say the numbers by looking at the screen.

B. Focus on telling time:

1.Make a riddle. Read it for the Ss, then ask the Ss to guess what it is.

2.Show the clocks. Ask the Ss to tell time according to the clocks.

e.g. What time is it? It’s _______.

1)T asks. S answers.

2)Have the Ss ask and answer in pairs.

3)Ask individuals to tell time in another way: quarter hour, half hour.

C. Focus on Daily activities:

1. Show the pictures of get up, and a clock. Ask the question:

What time do you get up?

I get up at ______.

2. Ask individuals to answer.

3. Have the Ss ask and answer about the pictures in pairs.

Step3 Do a survey

1. Ask the Ss to do a survey. Ask their friends, then finish the chart.

From ten to eight, she has lessons. She likes English, Chinese and Math. She eats lunch at eleven forty. At five o’clock, she plays games with me. After dinner, she takes a shower and does her homework. She goes to sleep at nine o’clock in the evening.

Reflection:

This is a revision class. I helped them to go over the three topics of this unit: numbers, time, and daily activities. Then do a survey, and have a reading comprehension. Most students caught up very well. And I spent much time asking and answering the question: What time do you_____? But when they conducted the survey, there were 3 Ss speaking Chinese, and they did not know how to carry out the survey using the target language. They needed extra help.
