Reflection:
I think an open class not only offers an opportunity for other teachers to observe my teaching, but also for the students to learn and practice. So, I taught as usual. I was happy to see that most of the students could practice well and they liked the chant. They could repeat the chant as well. After I observed my colleague’s lesson which focused on the same topic, I think I’d better use multi-media to create a simulated situation for the students to listen and practice. As for kids in Grade2, they love the cartoons, stories and some other teaching aids. They help to keep the students interested in learning.
