Teaching procedure

I. Warm Up

1. Sing a song: Hello, How are you?

2. Show a picture of the classroom and have the students talk about the classroom. (Try to use the complete sentence to talk about it.)

Eg. This is our classroom. Welcome to our classroom. There are desks, chairs.There is a TV and a clock in our classroom. This is my desk. This my chair….I like my classroom.

II. presentation &Practice

1. Show a picture of David on the TV and have the students guess the family members and learn the family members. (use phonics to teach the words and practice the words in different ways.)

2. Work in pairs and practice the words of the family members. Then play a game:

T: Where is the father?: S: Father, father, father.

3. Have some students come to the front and match the pictures with the sentences.

4. Listen and read after the audio.

5. Work in pairs and introduce David’s family. Then have some students introduce David’s family.

6. Watch a video and have the students answer questions about the video. Then have the students show their photo and introduce their own family in groups.
