A Lesson Plan
Teaching Aims: 1. To use contrary-to-fact conditionals.
2. To talk about some contrary-to-fact situations.

Step 1 Review
1. Play a song “If”. Let students enjoy it and get a general idea of the word “IF”.
2. Have the students read the audioscript of Part 7 and find out the sentences with “if”.
3. Try to remember more sentences with “if”.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Pair work: Can you sum up the rules?
If+ past tense, would+ verb
2. Pair work: ask Ss to work in pairs to talk about the pictures.
For example: What would you do if you saw Chen Xiang?
3. Group work: have Ss work in groups to make more sentences using “If”.
Step 3 Practice
1. Translation: have Ss translate a short poem into English. First ask them to translate by themselves and then work in pairs.
2. Individual study: ask Ss to finish the exercises in the Students’ books and Workbooks.
Step 4 Sum-up and Assignment
Ask some Ss to sum up the key points in this period and assign homework.

1. 首先,这堂课很好的体现了新课改理念中学习方式的转变,从传统的教师教转变为学生自主学习,由学生自己悟出虚拟语气的用法;课程结构流程也有所转变,整个课堂穿插独学、对学、群学有学生的展示,最后由教师点拨,灵活运用各个环节。
2. 其次,从四个场来看,首先教师选取学生非常感兴趣的话题,课堂气氛非常热烈,引发学生思考,激发学生思维,事实证明,七年级学生思维非常开放、活跃。课堂上教师给出话题后做出了很好的情感价值取向引导,比如在给出话题假如你中了一百万你会怎么做,老师给出的例句里面就有帮助穷困山区的贫苦儿童,对学生进行爱心教育。
3. 最后,对于本节课语法提出微薄建议,仅供参考,教授虚拟语气前先让学生接触、感知大量含有虚拟语气的句子让学生知道什么时候使用此句型然后再讲用法,这样学生接受度是否会更好。
