To identify the words of family members.

To use the sentence pattern “It’s ____.”in daily life.

Teaching key points:

To identify the words, not just the pictures.

Teaching procedures:

I. Warm up

1. Greeting

2. Free talk

Yesterday is mid-autumn day, did you have a great time?

Did you enjoy the moon with your mum and dad?

Did you eat moon cake with your mum and dad?

Oh, yesterday I ate a moon cake with a carrot in it. It is delicious, do you like carrot?(show them a carrot card) Do you know who like carrots most?( rabbits)

II. Presentation

1. Lead – inFree talk

2. New words

Introduce the new words: father/mother/brother/sister/aunt/uncle/baby through a story “the rabbits pull out a carrot”

Look the baby rabbit is coming! Let’s cheer him up: “come on! Baby!..”

Oh, he is too small that he can’t pull it out! Let’s think who can help? (the Ss may say “father/mother/etc…) Look! The father is coming for help! (Prize the Ss who guess the right person)

In this way, let’s the Ss learn these new words.

3. Revision:

Oh it’s time for the rabbits to go home now. Let’s say goodbye to them.

“Goodbye father/mother/etc…”

Choose some students to act the story with TPR.R

亮点:1.本节课设计新颖,具趣味性。运用故事引入,学习词汇father, mother, brother, sister, baby brother, grandpa, grandma,充分调动了学生的学习兴趣,在游戏的过程中对本节课需要掌握的单词进行了练习。体现了生命课堂的情趣场。

2.创设情境,在故事中学习英语,生动有趣的故事让学生在享受故事的过程中感知、练习词汇。不是单纯、孤立的单词学习,体现了情境中学习英语。

有趣的故事加上丰富的教具,充分激发了学生的学习兴趣,建议更充分的使用教具,采取小组竞赛的形式,学生会更投入,操练效果会更好。另外,认读单词是一年级教学的重难点,如果运用Phonics进行教学,效果会更好。
