Teaching content:Book 5 Unit 4------ part 5

Teaching objectives:

1. To talk about shopping;

2. To know different kinds of shirts;

3. To describe clothing.

Teaching procedures:

I. Warm up

1. If you have a lot of money what will you do? What will you buy?

2. If you can use the money to open a shop what kind of shop do you want to have? Why?

II. Presentation

1. Have them guess what kind of shop does the teacher want to have.

▲What’s in my shop? Brain storm some words about clothing.

2. Show peggy’s clothing shop. Show the picture of different kinds of clothes. Have them look it carefully and talk about the differences between each kind of shirt.

▲When they talk about the differences introduce the new word for them(collar, sleeves. button, pocket, size, small, large, medium)

▲Introduce the new words about different kinds of shirt for them.

3. Have them read the words by themselvles. Check reading by asking groups to read the words.

4. Move the cards and have them match it correctly.

5. Focus their attention of pictures. Have them match the words with pictures. Give more pictures, ask them to judge the kind of shirt.

6. Ask them to describe the shirt. Give them some examples and useful sentences.

It’s a ….shirt with…but without…

7. Work in groups to describe the shirts. Then ask students to show the description.

8. Have them talk about the shirt which the like better. Have them read part 6. Circle and compare the answers with their partners.

III. Closure

Design and draw a picture about their favorite clothes. Then describe it with a

Partner.

Reflection:

After the lesson I thought a lot about it.There are too many language points in part5 and there are so many new words. In this lesson I just focus on one point(they need to know the names of different kinds of shirts and they need to know how to describe them). I tried to arouse their interestes and change the way of teaching and I also tried to let the students study by themselves or work in groups to finish the task. In this lesson, follow steps can show the students’ individual learning and group learning. Firstly, I asked students some question and let them think by themselves. Secondly, I asked them to work in groups to describe the clothes. Thirdly, I asked them to finish the exercies independently and then share the answer with a partner. Fourthly, I asked them to design and draw a picture of their favorite kind of shirt and then describe it with a partner.

In this lesson, I think the steps goes throughly and most of them can output what they have absorbed. While I think I can let students study by themselves when they learn the new words. I don’t need to teach too much. I need give them enough time to study by themselves.

教材这部分知识点很多,最终教师选择一个重点Describe the clothes展开.

优点:

体现了较强的思维场思维场的体现是通过问题设置展开,而且学生能够好地进行积极思考问题,和回答问题。

体现了强的兴趣场:整堂课学生对教师的提问和任务有比较浓厚的兴趣,课堂氛围好。

体现了较好的生态场:学生在每一过渡环节都能较默契配合老师,可见课堂是生态自然的流程。

缺点

部分单词的语音要到位,在单词学习方面可以让学生自己先独学和群学然后进行个体教学。
