Teaching Content:
Unit 2 Last Weekend Activity 3
Teaching Aims:
To talk about activities in the past.
To use English to describe pictures and review “before” & “after” we learned before.
Teaching key points:
The past tense of the verbs
I. Review
1.Review the months. “Yesterday we talked about time. We know there are ____ months in a year. They are _______.”
2.Review the days in a week. “And there are _____ days in a week. They are _______.”
II. Lead-in
1.---“Speaking of days,who can tell me ‘What day is it today?’” --- “Today is Saturday.” --- “What’s the date today?” ---”October 11th.”
2.--- “Saturday is on weekend (show the word “weekend” on TV). Usually we have no school on weekend, but why are we still here at school today?” Invite students to answer to lead in “National Holiday”.
3.--- “How was yourNational Holiday?” ---”It was ________.
---“What did you do on National Holiday?” --- “I ______.”
Invite students to talk about their holiday.
4.Review activities through a game “sharp eyes”.
5.Then send them the piece of paper and encourage them to write the past verbs.
Invite one student to go to the blackboard to write.
Write the past tense verbs.写出下列动词的过去式。

6.Check the answers and have the other students to correct the mistakes.
III. Presentation
1.Show the three pictures. Talk about the picture in groups.(G1&2&3---P1, G4&5&6---P2, G7&8&9---P3) Set the time first, then let them make up stories.
2.Invite groups to tell their stories. Others listen carefully and answer questions after the story.
3.Then have students ask questions about the pictures with “What did _____ do ___? “I _____.” in groups (Group leaders ask, members answer.)
4.Invite groups to show.
5.T asks and Ss answer. T show the sentences on PPT.
6.Turn to Page 13and read by themselves. Then invite Ss to read. Then read together.
7.Have Ss circle the past verbs in the book. Then read together and tell the original verbs.
8.Finish the exercises I gave them.
9.Check the answers.
IV. Extension or Homework
Talk about “Daddy, Where Are We Going?” (How many stops did they go? Where were they? What did they do?)
Feedback课后反思:
本节课是本单元的第二次课,学生对过去式有一个基本的了解。又由于早读有读过有关动词过去式的内容,所以我在设计本堂课的时候,从以下几块来设计:
1.导入:由复习12个月份和星期引入weekend,进而提出问题”Why are we still here at school today?”并请学生用过去式谈论国庆期间发生的事情。学生最后出来的效果让我比较满意,但是同时我也看到,在这个过程中,学生不能很好自如地运用过去式。于是我在接下来的环节,设计了Sharp eyes让学生复习动词并试着写出动词的过去式,并用不同颜色的粉笔写出,这样让学生一目了然。紧接着,我提问学生见到哪些单词或者是词组,我们就要使用过去式的情况,这一部分的设计为接下来图片的描述起到了很好的奠定基础的作用。
2.呈现:在呈现部分,我没有直接提问What did he/she do?,而是采取分小组合作,对所规定的图片进行编故事或者是描述的方式阐述图片(并且对每组图都规定了发生的时间),学生最后说出来的故事让我很惊喜,小组合作的效果也很好,组长能够在组员使用错时态的情况下进行提醒,起到了小老师的作用,正因为有之前的写过去式的环节,所以在这部分,学生才能基本用对时态。
3.拓展:我设计了学生喜爱的节目《爸爸去哪儿》,让他们回忆他们去过几站,他们在这几站分别做了什么。能够很好的激发兴趣,就算没有时间在课堂上完成,也可以作为作业布置给他们课后完成。事实证明,学生还是很感兴趣的,有学生在假后的第一天就将所想告诉我或者写给我。
4.反思:可以将时间再分配合理一点,这样书本本身的内容可以有更多时间去学习。

本节课的授课对象为四年级的学生,教学内容为Book4 Unit2的第三部分。本堂课总体感觉非常自然,以下从生命课堂的角度,分析一下本课的优点和不足。
一、教学亮点
1.本堂课非常自然生态。Coco老师在设计课程中非常巧妙的导入并且环环相扣,让学生和听课的老师们都感到语言的生成非常自然,气氛也感觉到很轻松愉快。比如,coco老师通过一个问题引起了思考:Why do we have school today?引起学生的疑问,导出原因National Day,然后顺应的讨论了How was your holiday? What did you do?并且由此展开本课。
2.突出思维的训练和学生的主体地位。
Coco老师在本课中,非常好的运用了教材,在编故事环节,孩子们的表现让我们吃惊。选择将教材的内容当做三个人的故事,放手让孩子们去使用和发挥想象,给与充分的时间去团队完成一个故事,这极大的锻炼了他们的思维。并且编故事本身就该是过去的事情,十分切合本课的重点—过去时。这就促使孩子们有意识的将自己的所有动作进行变型。并且,在最后的评价上,尊重孩子们的建议,让孩子们打分并且给出理由。
此外,在小summary中,也是鼓励孩子们去总结和说出什么时候该用过去式,将很多过去的时间交给学生去提出。
二、教学建议
在表述小故事的时候,还是有孩子会时不时的忘记过去时的动词变化,这个时候可以让其他组的孩子们仔细听,并不仅仅是回答也可以是找出有问题的小句子。
