Teaching Difficult Points:

To talk about one’s activities in third person singular.

Teaching Procedures:

I. Warm up

1. Talk about the activities we can do in the city. Teacher shows a picture of city and asks several students to tell the activities they can do in the city. I can___________in the city.

2. Talk about the activities we can do in the country. Since most of the students know less about the country life, teacher plays a vedio to help them know things about country. Then students work in groups to tell as more activities as they can do in the country. I can(see)__________in the country.

II. Lead-in

1. Work in groups to make a story: Teacher shows a picture of Susan and a picture of Tom, students work in groups and choose one picture to talk about. Teacher asks several groups to tell their stories.

2. Teacher asks students to guess the relationship between Susan and Tom.(friends)

III. Presentation & Practice

1.Students read part4 by themselves loudly and underline the new words.

2.1) Students tell the new word “apartment”. Pronounces the new word with students by phonics.

2) Teacher shows pictures of “apartment, farm and villa” to help them know how apartment looks like and the differences among “apartment, farm and villa”.

3.Students read part4 by themselves again, Teacher asks several groups to read. Then students read part4 together.

4.Students read part4 for the forth time and fill in a chart in groups.

IV. Application

1.Teacher shows a picture of her friend and tell the activities of her friend.

Jimmy is my friend.He lives in an apartment. He is a singer. He has a radio, a piano and some guitars. He has to sing every day. He usually goes for walks after dinner.

2.Friend Interview: Students tell who are their friends in the classroom. Then they go to their friends to ask their friends the following questions.

a. Where do you live?

b. What do you have?

c. What do you have to do every day?

d. What do you usually do?

3.Students talk about their friends.

V. Homework

Students write a composition about one of their friends. T gives them a structure of “My Friend” above.

Reflection:

这节课学习的是一个阅读文本,Susan和Tom分别住在城市和农村,他们都有动物,但喂养的时间不一样,他们过着不同的生活。本次学的是一个新的单元,学生对城市和农村的活动不是很了解。老师通过城市图片和关于农村生活的vedio让学生小组合作谈谈“What can you do in the city/country?”

在阅读之前老师展示关于Susuan和Tom的图片,让学生以小组为单位选择一副图片编故事。这样一方面可以锻炼学生的口头表达能力,另一方面他们可以从图片中获取一些信息,为后面的阅读做铺垫。接着让学生自己先阅读文本,找出生词,用自然拼读法解决生词后,本想让叫几个小组来读一读,可是他们都觉得有困难,这时老师并没有着急,而是很自然的让学生自己再读一遍文章。通过第二次阅读后,小组阅读时他们读的已经较流利了。“读书百遍,其义自现”,本节课老师给足了学生时间来自读文本,让他们自己通过读来获取想得到的信息。然后再完成一些任务。最后让学生去采访自己的朋友,了解自己朋友的生活,将所学知识运用到实际生活中去。

本堂课整体来说设计的比较合理,层次分明,重难点突出。学生的独学时间充足。小组交流自然且真实有效。很好的锻炼了学生的阅读及交流的能力。但是对于city pets和farm animals没有特别提出来来区分,有些学生有些混淆。

本节课的授课对象为三年级的学生,教学内容为Book3 Unit3的第四部分。本堂课结构清晰,总体感觉十分流畅自然.以下从生命课堂的角度,分析一下本课的优点和不足。

一,教学亮点

1.课堂氛围和谐,学生参与性强.首先导入部分的动画播放巧妙融合了新旧知识点,结合黑板上句型“I can see_____ in the country”的提示,让学生觉得有话可说,有话想说.学生的回答也能得到老师及时而具体的反馈和鼓励,无论是个人问答,结对学习,还是小组任务的完成,学生都能积极参与其中.

2.充分发挥了学生学习的主动性,体现了课堂上学生的主体地位.整堂课不仅看到学生带着浓厚的兴趣完成一个个任务的解决,而且学生能自己发现问题并寻求老师的帮助.如学习文本时,学生首先自己朗读全篇,划出不认识的单词,阅读结束时以拼读字母的方式交由老师指导认读,老师成为了学生学习的协助者而非领导者.

3.拓展部分开拓了思维,培养了学生良好的行为.最后一部分,老师让学生找到自己的好朋友,以采访的形式了解朋友的日常活动,不仅练习了“live in…” “have to…”等重点句型,也拉近了同学间的距离,增进了友谊.

建议在看图说话部分可培养学生的发散思维和运用更多变的句型的能力.不仅能运用前面刚说过的句型“I can see…”,还能运用其他的句子说话。
